Creteil

Créteil sits in Val-de-Marne, a suburb south-east of Paris, and its football club began as the town's own side, Union Sportive de Créteil, in 1936. In 2002 it merged with US Lusitanos de Saint-Maur and became US Créteil-Lusitanos, a name it kept until billionaire Xavier Niel acquired the club and it went back to US Créteil.

In 1985–86 the club won the Division d'Honneur Île-de-France, a regional league, and in the same season reached the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France, still its best run in that competition. The next year it won Division 4. The Championnat National , the third tier, followed in 2012–13. Créteil has never played in Ligue 1.

Six years after the National title, in 2018–19, the club was winning Championnat National 2, the fifth tier.

Red Star FC and Paris FC are the derby opponents, and the rivalry with Red Star is the sharper of the two. The home ground, the Stade Dominique-Duvauchelle, holds 12,150.
