Every meeting with Paris FC now carries the label "Derby francilien."

The women's side began life in 2003 as FCF Val d'Orge; the men's side had been playing under various names since the 1970s. In 2017, with the women newly promoted to the top division, the two were folded into one entity, Fleury 91 Cœur d'Essonne, and it is the women who have carried the name since. That promotion season, winning the Division 2 Féminine, remains the closest thing the club has to a foundation story of its own.

The cup record fills in the rest without needing much comment: a Coupe de Paris won twice in the 2010s, an Essonne departmental cup collected three times in the previous decade. The nearest brush with a major trophy came in 2024, when Fleury reached the Coupe de France final and lost 1-0 to Paris Saint-Germain — a defeat, not a breakthrough, but proof of how far the club had travelled from its Division 2 days.

Frédéric Biancalani took over as head coach in 2024, stepping into a job that had just delivered a cup final. The squad has carried players like Eugénie Le Sommer, whose name needs no introduction in French women's football.

Since 2023, home matches have been played at the Essonne Stadium in Bondoufle, a ground built for nearly 19,000 that dwarfs the old Stade Auguste Gentelet the men's team still uses. The club opened a training academy the same year, too recent yet to have sent anyone through to the first team. For now, Fleury's task is simpler: hold its place among the Arkema Première Ligue's established names, and see whether last year's cup run was a peak or a starting point.
