Al-Maktoum Stadium seats 15,058, and until this year it had never needed to hold a Dubai United crowd. The ground becomes home only from the 2026/27 season.
Dubai United was not assembled from an older club's ashes or a stalled name change. Owner Ilie Cebanu built it new in 2022, and it went up through the UAE pyramid without a season to spare: runner-up in the Second Division in 2022–23, sixth and then fourth in the First Division across the two seasons that followed, and runner-up again in 2025–26, the finish that sent the Lions into the UAE Pro League for the first time.
Black and white are the colours, The Lions the nickname, and Al-Maktoum Stadium — 15,058 seats in Dubai — the ground the promotion was for.
