Eendracht Termien

Termien is a district of Genk. Eendracht Termien plays its football several divisions below that name, on a pitch at Terrain 't Heke that seats 500.

The club's paperwork goes back to around 1973, when a group of friends who had been playing together since the late 1960s registered with the Belgian Football Association as Oud Termien. On 1 July 1992 that side merged with the local VC Termien to form Eendracht Termien, keeping the old membership number rather than starting again from scratch.

For most of its existence the club stayed at provincial level, and its honours read as a staircase rather than a trophy cabinet: champions of Second Provincial Limburg B in 2010–11, then of First Provincial Limburg in 2016–17, each title taking it up one tier. The step that mattered came in 2023–24, when Eendracht Termien won Derde Nationale B and reached Tweede Nationale, the second-highest amateur division in the country.

What keeps the club's name in Genk newspapers, though, is the derby it cannot really contest as equals. KRC Genk sit in the Belgian top flight; Eendracht Termien meet them only when the draw allows it, mostly in pre-season friendlies or the odd Belgian Cup round, a competition the small club entered for the first time in 2018–19 and left in the fourth round.

Glenn Neven is the name attached to both sides of the touchline here, having played for the club and later coached it.
