Elche U20

Elche's Under-20 side has no legal existence of its own. It is the Juvenil A squad of Elche Club de Fútbol, the top rung of the youth ladder at a club that dates from 10 January 1923, and it exists to feed the first team. It wears the same green and white stripes that give the senior side the nickname Franjiverde. Locally it is usually called Elche Juvenil A rather than U20. The name Ilicitano belongs to the reserve team, Elche CF Ilicitano.

The youth pathway has already produced first-team players. Josan Ferrández and Rodrigo Mendoza came through it, as did Ali Houary and Mourad El Ghezouani. Recent departures went the other way: Fran Gil moved to Villarreal and Viktor Nikolov to Getafe, both leaving Juvenil A for other La Liga clubs.

The clearest sign of what the squad can do comes from the COTIF, the under-20 tournament played in La Alcudia. Elche won it in 2021, beating UD Alzira 1–0 in the final. They won again in 2023, this time 3–0 against a Saudi Arabia under-20 team. In 2024 they went out in the semi-finals, losing 0–3 to Argentina's under-20 side.

The team trains and plays at Campo Diego Quiles, inside the Ciudad Deportiva Elche complex, and shares the pitch with the reserves. It holds about 1,000 spectators. The senior side plays across town at the Estadio Martínez Valero, which holds 31,388.
