HIK

HIK does not carry a rivalry that defines it in the way a derby defines a bigger club.

Football has rarely been the loudest of HIK's departments. On the pitch, the high point came in 1930, when HIK won the 2nd Division and earned passage into the national championship. Superligaen and the Danish Cup never followed.

Matches are played in black and white at Gentofte Stadion, part of the Gentofte Sportspark complex, holding 4,000. It replaced the older Hellerup Stadion, a ground of roughly 1,000, as the first team's home. The club carries no nickname; in Denmark it is known simply as HIK.
