There is no fixed enemy across the pitch at Koerich — no formal derby, no name for it.

The side began in 1932 as FC Jeunesse Goeblange, and the name kept changing with the times around it: Jeunesse Koerich/Goeblange from 1937, then FC Jeunesse Sportive Koerich in 1945. A merger with Simmern in 2011 produced FC Koerich/Simmern, before the club went back to being FC Käerch in 2017.

Its best-known season came under coach Roger Barthel, who took the team to the 3rd Division title in 1969–70 with a goal difference of 102 to 20. The club has since collected the 2.

The colours changed too, from blue and yellow to the red and black worn since the 1946–47 season.
