«Laholmarna»
Laholm is a small town in Halland. What Laholm did have, before 1957, was two separate clubs: Laholms Bollklubb and Laholms Idrottsförening. On 3 May 1957 they merged into one, and the town has been putting a single yellow-and-black side on the pitch since. Locals call the team Laholmarna.
The club stayed in the lower divisions, playing at Glänninge IP, which holds 2,000. That began to change in 2022, when it won Division 3 Sydvästra Götaland and went up to Division 2. Two years later it finished second in Division 2 Västra Götaland, which put it into the promotion playoffs for Division 1.
The Svenska Cupen has been less kind. In the qualification round of 2023/24 Laholm lost 2-1 to IFK Hässleholm.
It has won the Halland county championship three times and plays in Division 2, the third tier of the Swedish women's game.
The club has no national title. Division 1 is the level its 2024 finish was meant to open up.
