Falkenbergs FF go into the new season back in Superettan, having returned there in 2024 after three years in the third tier.

The club dates to 3 January 1928, when five local sides — Kullens BK, IK Göta, IK Falken, Hamnkamraterna and Arvidstorp — merged under the town's first chairman, Georg "Jija" Torstenson. It has kept that name ever since, and for years ran bandy and handball sections alongside the football, with a women's team added in 1955.

Since 2017 the club has played at Falcon Alkoholfri Arena, a 5,500-seat ground named for a local non-alcoholic beer brand, which replaced Falkenbergs IP, its home from the founding year.

Promotion brought a 13th-place finish the following year, still the club's best in the top flight, before the slide back down: a record-low points tally sent them out in 2016, relegation struck again in 2020, and by 2021 they were playing third-division football. David Svensson has carried the shirt through much of this, racking up more than 600 appearances.

No fixture matters more than the one against Halmstads BK. Supporters call it El Custico, a name built from the Spanish article rather than anything Swedish, and it remains the defining derby in Halland.
