Mechtersheim

Stadion an der Kirschenallee holds around 2,000 people and sits on Phillipsburger Straße in Mechtersheim, a district of Römerberg — grass pitch, floodlights, no running track.

TuS Mechtersheim traces back to 1914, when it began life as Viktoria Mechtersheim.

A third promotion followed the 2025 Verbandsliga title, sending Mechtersheim back into the Oberliga for 2025/26.

The club's biggest result came off the back of none of that league work: a 2-1 win over 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the Verbandspokal in October 2021. More recently, Abdulkerim Çakar, a former German youth international, spent the 2023-24 season at the club after arriving from Gaziantep FK.

Local rivalries stay close to home. FV Berghausen and FV Heiligenstein are the sharpest of them, though the three clubs also run a joint youth team, JSG Römerberg, alongside the competition. SV Viktoria Herxheim provides the wider regional edge. All of it plays out in front of the same 2,000-capacity ground on Phillipsburger Straße, in blue and white.
