Pérolas Negras

The Estádio Jair Toscano in Angra dos Reis has hosted Pérolas Negras only since the 2026 Campeonato Carioca Série A2, a switch forced when a planned move to Piraí fell through over stadium problems. The club has played at a training centre in Paty do Alferes and, from 2019, the Estádio do Trabalhador in Resende, which seats between roughly 7,400 and 9,500.

That restlessness runs through the club's history. The project was suspended after the 2010 earthquake and only resumed in 2011, before relocating to Brazil in 2016 and registering with the Rio de Janeiro state federation, the Federação de Futebol do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, in 2017. The name Pérolas Negras, Black Pearls, borrows from Haiti's own nickname, the Pearl of the Antilles, and the squad has fielded refugees from Haiti, Syria and Venezuela alongside youths from vulnerable communities.

The captain, Badio Stanley, a Haitian defender, has anchored a side that built its honours from the bottom of the Rio state pyramid upward: the Campeonato Carioca Série C in 2017, then the Série B2 in 2020, and in 2021 the Copa Rio. Their fiercest fixture is local, not cup-related: matches against Resende FC are known regionally as the Duelo do Sul Fluminense.

Three Taça Waldir Amaral titles followed in successive years, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
