Recolta Gheorghe Doja

Match day at Stadionul Comunal in Gheorghe Doja carries a name of its own: the derby-ul ialomițean, played against Unirea 04 Slobozia, the fixture that matters most to whoever follows Recolta around the county. Everything else the club has done gets measured against how it fares in that one.

Recolta, known locally as Ialomițenii, has spent its history at county level, and its clearest mark on that level came in 2018–19, when it won the Liga IV Ialomița title outright. The promotion play-off that followed ended against Petrolul Roata, so the step up to Liga III never came, and the club has stayed within its own tier since.

Its record in the Cupa României shows the same pattern repeating: an early round or two, then an exit against opposition from just above. In 2021–22 a walkover past Înfrățirea Jilavele and a 1–0 win over Viitorul Ianca, with Gabriel Neagu scoring, took Recolta to Turul III, where FC Agricola Borcea held them 2–2 before winning on penalties. The following season brought a heavier win, 5–1 over Progresul Fundulea, then another stop against Ianca. By 2024–25 the same two sides, Fundulea and Agricola Borcea, appear again in the draw, the second of them edging Recolta on penalties once more; a year later, Fundulea won the first meeting outright.

Youth football runs through an academy working with players from under-11 to under-15, led by coach Corneliu Popescu, though none of that age-group work has yet produced a name that travelled beyond Ialomița.

The club took shape in 2002, in red and yellow, in a commune whose football has largely meant this fixture with Slobozia ever since.
