Red River

Bossier City sits across the Red River from Shreveport. The club here started from a narrower aim: to give local players a place to compete instead of leaving the area to find one.

It began as Blue Goose SC in 2021 and played that year in the USL Academy League. A season later it moved up to USL League Two, and it has stayed there since. Its division is now called the Ranger Division; it was previously the Mid-South Division.

In 2025 the club dropped the Blue Goose name. It became Red River FC, took the nickname Raiders and adopted the full title Red River Raiders FC. The change also brought Admiral as kit maker. Preseason photographs that year show red and blue shirts, with the goalkeeper in yellow. Bryan Turner coached the first season under the new name, and Ryan Wheeler is president.

The Raiders play at M.D. Ray Field, known locally as Airline Stadium, on the grounds of Airline High School. It is a high-school stadium, and the club shares it with the school. The Little Rock Rangers are the nearest thing to a rival, met through the regional fixtures of the Southern Conference.

The squad reflects the recruiting of a college-age league. Players have arrived from Brazil, Puerto Rico, Germany, England and Japan to play in a city on the Louisiana side of the river. The ground they play on holds 9,300.
