Slavonija Požega

That club had gone through several identities before he got there. Founded in 1946 as SD Jedinstvo, it lost players through the following decade and carried on for a time as NK Zvečevo, named after the local factory that kept it running. In February 1964, Zvečevo merged with NK Radnički to form NK Slavonija.

Under Yugoslavia, the club's best moment was a promotion into the Republic League of Croatia in 1978. After independence, it came closer to something bigger: promoted out of Druga HNL Sjever in 1994-95, Slavonija finished fifth in the second tier the following season, then fourth in 1996-97, when a play-off place slipped away on the final matchday to Slaven Belupo and the club dropped back down.

Home games are played at Stadion Kraj Orljave, which holds 4,000. In Požega itself, though, one name still gets mentioned ahead of any of that: Milinković's, and the goal-scoring record he built before he ever put on Slavonija's colours.
