Sokół Kolbuszowa Dolna heads into the 2025/2026 season in III Liga (Group IV), the fourth tier of Polish football. Promotion came on the back of the 2024/2025 campaign, when the senior men's side won the IV liga podkarpacka with 84 points, three clear of runner-up JKS Jarosław. Marcin Wołowiec, who managed the promotion-winning squad, was named Coach of the Year in the league, with the team itself taking the accompanying Team of the Year award.

The club, formally MUKS Sokół Kolbuszowa Dolna, dates back to 1967. It spent more than a decade in the Klasa Okręgowa, the sixth tier, before working up through the IV liga from 2018 onward.

Among the players who passed through the club, Kamil Duszkiewicz stands out: a midfielder who came through at Sokół across the 2020/2021 and 2022/2023 seasons before signing professionally with Stal Mielec in 2021, later returning to that club as a member of its coaching staff.

Matches against Sokół Nisko carry their own name, the "Derby Sokołów nad Nilem", and sit alongside derbies with Kolbuszowianka Kolbuszowa and Raniżovia Raniżów on the local calendar. Away from the men's first team, the club's women's sides have had their own success, with the futsal team and the handball team, known as "Mamuśki", both taking Podkarpacie championships; the women's footballers currently play in the II Liga kobiet.

For now, the focus sits with the men's team, which enters III Liga against opposition it has not faced before.
