Stocksbridge Park Steels

The works had its own football side, Stocksbridge Works, which played for the British Steel Corporation plant. Across town, Oxley Park Sports ran a team of its own.

Bracken Moor holds 3,500, with 450 of those seats. The sponsors' names on it have changed over the years, from the Look Local Stadium to the Eco-Power Environmental Stadium. The club's away shirts carry a badge with the colours reversed from the home version, blue where the home crest is yellow.

The club climbed through the Northern Counties East League in its early years. It won Division One in 1991–92 and the Premier Division two seasons later. Lee Mills played there in 1991–92 before Wolverhampton Wanderers signed him. Wayne Biggins, who had played for the club, became manager in 2002 and left in November 2003.

The county cup is where the club has done most of its winning. The Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup first came to Stocksbridge in 1992–93. In 2025 the club added a promotion, winning the Northern Premier League Division One East play-offs.

The nearest rivals are Frickley Athletic and Worksop Town. Bracken Moor's highest league crowd, 610, came for a game against Worksop.
