SV Babelsberg 03

The Karl-Liebknecht-Stadion holds 10,787, but only 2,003 of those have a seat. The other 8,784 stand, and that is how the ground in Potsdam-Babelsberg has been watched for as long as SV Babelsberg 03 have called it home. The club, known as Nulldrei, wear blue and white.

The name on the shirt has changed more often than the colours. The side began in 1903 as Sport-Club Jugendkraft 1903 and became SV Nowawes. In the 1928/29 season Sepp Herberger managed it under that name. After the Second World War the club was dissolved and re-formed as SG Karl-Marx-Babelsberg in 1948. A year later it merged with SG Drewrez to become BSG Motor Babelsberg. It went back to Sportverein Babelsberg 03 in 1991.

The rise came in 2001, when Babelsberg reached the 2. Bundesliga. They were relegated after a single season, and in 2003 they declared bankruptcy. Nulldrei carried on regardless. They won the NOFV-Oberliga Nord in 2007, then the Regionalliga Nord in 2010, which took them into the 3. Liga. They stayed there until 2013.

The Brandenburg Cup has been the steadier source of silverware: ten wins between 1999 and 2021, including six in a row from 2006 to 2011.

The fixture that matters most locally is the Potsdamer Stadtderby. Babelsberg's opponents in it are FSV Babelsberg 74 and Potsdamer Kickers, clubs from the same city.
