TransferWise

The pitch is artificial turf beside the Kalevi Central Stadium, and the stand around it holds about 270 people. That is the scale of the operation: when that pitch is unavailable, the side has turned up at the Raja football hall or at Wismari stadium instead.

The name explains the rest. Tallinna FC TransferWise carries the title of the financial services company now called Wise, and the club is also written down as FC Wise. Matches in the IV Liiga were being played by June 2016, so the side was in existence by then, though no earlier date is fixed.

Its results come from the bottom of the Estonian pyramid, in the IV Liiga, the sixth tier, with spells in the fifth-tier III Liiga. The club won the IV Liiga North division in 2019. It won it again in 2021, which is the achievement that gives the record some shape.

The Estonian Cup has brought the club into contact with a different level of football. In that competition it has been drawn against Tallinna Kalev and Tammeka, sides from far higher up the league system.

The colours are not settled. Some match listings show blue kits, others black. What the club has is a sponsor's name on its badge and a small artificial pitch where its home games are played, and both go back to the reason it exists: a company's name put on a team so that it could play in the lower leagues of Tallinn.
