Delic Murimba's name still travels further than most from this corner of Masvingo Province: the striker took the Golden Boot at the 2018 COSAFA Under-20 Championship while wearing Triangle United's green and white.

Founded in 1972, the club has had its moments: the NetOne One Wallet Cup in 2014, then the Chibuku Super Cup in 2018, won with a 2-0 defeat of Harare City FC in the final. That victory carried the club into the 2019–20 CAF Confederation Cup, where it reached the playoff round before FC Nouadhibou ended the run.

Domestically, Triangle United held its place in the Premier Soccer League for eleven years before relegation at the end of the 2023 season, finishing 16th alongside Black Rhinos, Sheasham and Cranborne Bullets. The club did not stay down long, winning promotion back for the 2025 campaign. Against Chiredzi FC, the neighbouring side with which it contests the Lowveld Derby.
