Barcelona beat Paris FC 5-2 in Women's Champions League opener
Barcelona opened their title defence with a 5-2 win over Paris FC despite conceding early and missing Vicky López and Kika Nazareth through muscle injuries.

The 2021 title match went to extra time, and the Spirit came out of it with a 2:1 win over Chicago Red Stars.
They lost the 2016 final to Western New York Flash, then returned to lose two more, in 2024 to Orlando Pride and in 2025 to NJ/NY Gotham FC. The meeting between the two is billed as District v.
The same year brought a trophy, if not that one. The Challenge Cup final against Orlando Pride finished 1:1 and went to penalties, where Washington held their nerve and took the cup.
The club moved into Audi Field, a 20 000-seat ground in the city itself, having spent its earlier seasons splitting home matches between the Maryland SoccerPlex and Segra Field out in the suburbs.
