Harlyckans IP sits in the Högaborg district of Helsingborg, Sweden, a ground that has kept its name since the day it opened. Built for Högaborgs BK after the club’s previous pitches were expropriated for housing, the stadium was completed on June 10, 1942. The venue has always been associated with local football rather than big-money spectacle. Högaborgs BK moved here from Viskans vall and Tre Torns plan, bringing with them a tradition that still defines the club’s identity. The ground has never carried a sponsor’s name, maintaining the simple Harlyckans IP designation throughout its history. Today the stadium serves two tenants. Eskilsminne IF, which has owned the facility since at least 2009, plays their Division 1 Södra matches here alongside Högaborgs BK in Division 3 Sydvästra Götaland. The pitch remains natural grass, and the capacity is generally cited as 3,500, though some sources place the figure closer to 2,500. The setting is unremarkable but functional. It hosted a Sweden U17 international against Denmark and drew over a thousand spectators for a derby in 2012, but there is no official attendance record to speak of. Helsingborgs IF, the city’s higher-profile club, plays at the separate Olympia stadium, leaving Harlyckans IP to serve the grassroots level of the game. The ground has seen a match as recently as November 10, 2024, and shows no signs of being abandoned.
