Eskilsminne

The derby that matters in Eskilsminne runs across Helsingborg itself, against Helsingborgs IF, and a second front opens further up the coast against Ängelholms FF, the Nordvästderby the club now plays out in Division 1 Södra. Stripes rather than a badge tell the older story: yellow and blue came from Stattena, a club that once played in Allsvenskan and folded its identity into the district side formed here on 18 May 1928.

Eskilsminne is Scania's business as much as its football pitch. Between 1,200 and 1,300 members pass through a youth setup large enough to rank among the biggest in the region, and each year the club runs Eskilscupen, one of Sweden's larger youth tournaments, pulling teams to Harlyckans IP long before the first team kicks off there.

The men's side has climbed steadily rather than dramatically: a Division 2 Västra Götaland title in 2022 preceded a Skåne district championship in 2024, results that carried the team into Division 1 Södra, the third tier. The women's team has reached further without quite closing it out, losing the district final in 2019 to Malmö FF and again in 2024, this time to FBK Balkan.

Emil Åberg has been one of the names attached to the club's recent rise, part of a squad built more on continuity than turnover. None of it strays far from where it began: a district team in Helsingborg, wearing another club's colours, still measuring itself against the city's bigger name.
