About

The **Abu Dhabi T10 League** is a professional franchise cricket tournament held in the United Arab Emirates. It was founded in 2017 and is organized by T10 Sports Management, a subsidiary of the Mulk Holdings conglomerate. The tournament is sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and licensed by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB).

Unlike traditional domestic leagues, it is not part of a national pyramid system; there is no promotion or relegation. Instead, it operates as a standalone international franchise league where teams are privately owned entities that may also participate in other global T10 competitions, such as the Lanka T10 or Zim Afro T10.

The competition format consists of a league stage followed by playoffs. Each match follows the T10 format, where each team bats for a maximum of 10 overs, with the entire match designed to last approximately 90 minutes. Distinctive rules include a limit of two overs per bowler and a powerplay of the first three overs, during which only two fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle. Tie-breakers involve a Super Over, and potentially a "Golden Ball" (a single delivery) if the Super Over is also tied.

Historically, the Deccan Gladiators are the most successful team, having won the title three times (2021, 2022, and 2024). Northern Warriors have won twice (2018, 2020), while Kerala Kings, Maratha Arabians, and New York Strikers have each won once (2017, 2019, and 2023 respectively). The current champions are the Deccan Gladiators, who defeated the Morrisville Samp Army by 8 wickets in the final held in December 2024. The 2025 season (the ninth edition) is scheduled to take place from November 18 to November 30, 2025, at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The league distinguishes itself from other UAE cricket competitions, such as the ECB-run Abu Dhabi T20 League, by its private franchise structure, international team composition, and ultra-short format.
