Arachas Super 50 Cup (Ireland) 2021/22

The Arachas Super 50 Cup is the premier domestic 50-over women's cricket competition in Ireland, organized by Cricket Ireland. Founded in 2015 as the Women's Super 3s, the tournament was restructured in 2021 into a dedicated limited-overs event with Arachas Insurance as the title sponsor. It sits at the top of the Irish domestic pyramid for the one-day format and holds List A status.

Unlike the men's Inter-Provincial Cup, which follows traditional geographic provinces, the women's competition utilises a franchise system designed to aggregate the best talent for the national team. Three permanent franchises compete without promotion or relegation: the Dragons representing Leinster, the Scorchers from Munster, and the Typhoons from Ulster. The format operates as a round-robin league where teams play each other multiple times. The winner is determined entirely by the points table rather than through a knockout final.

Scorchers are the most successful team in the competition's history, having won the majority of titles since inception. They secured victories in 2021, 2022, and 2024, while the Typhoons claimed the title in 2023 and the Dragons in 2025. The competition serves as a critical pathway for players aiming to represent Ireland at the international level, providing a structured environment for high-performance cricket.
