The South American Women's Cricket Championship (Campeonato Sudamericano de Cricket Femenino) is the premier regional tournament for female cricketers in the continent. Founded in 2007, the competition is organized by Cricket Americas and sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It operates primarily in the Twenty20 International (T20I) format, featuring a round-robin group stage followed by playoff finals. The event frequently serves as a qualifier for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Americas region.

Brazil has established itself as the dominant force in recent years, securing the majority of titles since its first victory in 2015. This includes consecutive championships in 2018, 2019, and 2024. Argentina holds the record for the inaugural era, winning the first four editions between 2007 and 2011, along with further victories in 2013, 2014, 2017, and 2023. Participation is not governed by a formal promotion or relegation system; instead, teams join based on invitation or regional eligibility. While Argentina and Brazil are regular fixtures, the field also includes Chile, Peru, and occasionally Colombia, Uruguay, Mexico, and Panama.

The tournament's structure mirrors the men's competition but began twenty years later in 2007 compared to the men's inception in 1995. The 2022 edition, hosted in Brazil, diverged slightly as part of the broader ICC Americas Women's T20 Championship, which was ultimately won by Canada with Brazil finishing as runners-up. The competition remains the central stage for women's cricket development in South America, highlighting the growing strength of the Brazilian squad relative to the historically competitive Argentine side.
