Bahrain in Singapore 2024/25

The Bahrain in Singapore series is a bilateral Twenty20 International (T20I) tournament contested between the national cricket teams of Bahrain and Singapore. It is not a permanent domestic league or a championship with a historical founding date, but rather a specific fixture established to foster sporting engagement between the two nations. Both countries hold Associate Member status with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and have enjoyed full T20I status for all matches played between them since January 1, 2019. This designation ensures that every game in the series carries official international standing. The most recent edition, occasionally referred to as the Singas and Pearls T20I Cup, took place in March 2025 at the Singapore National Cricket Ground. The event comprised five matches, with Bahrain securing a 3-0 victory despite two games being abandoned due to weather conditions. Unlike regional competitions such as the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Men's Premier Cup, which both nations also enter, this series focuses exclusively on the bilateral relationship. The ACC Premier Cup, founded in 2014, involves multiple teams from across the continent, whereas the Bahrain in Singapore fixture isolates the two participants. Regional ties are strengthened through shared affiliation with the Asian Cricket Council, linking an East Asian cricketing association with one in the Middle East. While Singapore runs the SCA Club League and Bahrain operates the Bahrain Cricket League, this particular competition sits outside those domestic structures. It serves as a direct interface between the national sides, highlighting the development of cricketing infrastructure in both regions. The series stands apart from franchise leagues like the Bahrain Premier League, which features club teams rather than national representatives. The focus remains entirely on the international performance of the players under selection for their respective countries.
