Cyprus T20 Tri-Series 2021/22

The **Cyprus T20 Tri-Series** (also known as the Cyprus T20I Cup) is a cricket tournament organized by the Cyprus Cricket Association (CCA). As an International Cricket Council (ICC) Associate member, the CCA uses this event to grant or utilize T20 International (T20I) status for participating nations. It is not a permanent fixture in a national pyramid but an intermittent international event.

The tournament was first held in October 2021 in Limassol, Cyprus. The inaugural edition featured Cyprus, Estonia, and the Isle of Man. This series was historically significant as it marked the first official T20I matches for both the Cyprus and Estonia national teams. The format was a round-robin tri-series where each team played four matches, with two against each opponent. There were no playoffs, and the winner was determined by the points table. The Isle of Man won the 2021 series with a perfect 4-0 record.

A second edition, the 2025/26 Cyprus T20 Tri-Series, was held later. This edition featured Cyprus, Bulgaria, and Serbia. In this series, Cyprus won the title, defeating both opponents. The competition distinguishes itself from other European cricket events by being a centralized, host-nation-led tri-series. It facilitates T20I status for developing European cricket nations, rather than acting as a league within a domestic structure or a standard bilateral series.
