The Inter-Insular Series for women is a cricket fixture between Jersey and Guernsey. It does not sit within the English domestic pyramid run by the ECB. Instead, the contest operates as a standalone international rivalry between two Crown Dependencies. The International Cricket Council granted it full Women's Twenty20 International status in 2018 after recognising all its members.
The series has evolved significantly since its inception. The women’s component began in 2009 with a 50-over match that Guernsey won by 21 runs. The transition to the modern format occurred on May 31, 2019, when the first official Women's Twenty20 International was played on Guernsey soil. Guernsey took that contest by seven wickets. The current structure sees the teams clash in a short series of one to three matches.
Jersey Women have established dominance in the T20I era. They won the series consecutively in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. This streak follows Guernsey’s victory in the inaugural 2019 T20I encounter. The rivalry carries a distinct identity within the sport, often referred to as the "Reds vs Greens" contest. Financial backing has included InfrasoftTech in 2019 and Brooks Macdonald in 2022.
The fixture is unique in British cricket for its bilateral nature outside the national structure. While the men's version dates back to 1950, the women's game developed independently later. The competition continues to grow in stature as the teams prepare for each season's encounters. The results reflect a shift in momentum over the last six years, with Jersey consolidating their position as the stronger side in the shortest format.
