The Malaysia Tri-Nation T20I Series is an irregular cricket tournament hosted by Cricket Malaysia. It features Twenty20 International (T20I) matches for Associate member nations in the Asia region. Unlike larger qualifiers, this series operates as a smaller, host-organized event rather than a direct pathway to global tournaments. The competition does not follow a fixed annual schedule, allowing for varying participants each year.

The current edition, held in 2023, brings together Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, and Hong Kong. This configuration differs from earlier iterations; the first recorded series under this specific name took place in 2019 with Malaysia, Thailand, and the Maldives. Previous editions have seen different combinations, including a 2022 event hosted in Nepal involving teams from across the region. Recent history shows a trend of inviting Asian Associate nations: Kuwait joined in 2024, while Bahrain participated in 2025.

The structure typically relies on a round-robin group stage where teams play each other multiple times. In some years, this format leads into a final between the top two sides. However, the 2023 season was decided entirely by league standings without a knockout match. Past champions include Papua New Guinea, who won in 2023, followed by Kuwait in 2024 and Bahrain in 2025.

The primary purpose of the series is to provide T20I status for matches involving developing cricketing nations. These games contribute to the ICC rankings of the participating countries, offering competitive experience that might otherwise be unavailable.
