The Netherlands Tri-Nation T20I Series is a recurring cricket tournament that features three national teams: Ireland, the Netherlands, and Scotland. It is not an annual fixture but is held sporadically, often serving as preparation for ICC events like the T20 World Cup. The series has no permanent trophy and is hosted on a rotating basis among the three nations.
The tournament typically features a double round-robin format where each team plays the other two teams twice, totaling 6 matches. There is no knockout stage; the winner is determined by the points table (2 points for a win, 1 for a no result). Net Run Rate (NRR) is used as a tie-breaker. Unlike other tri-nation series in the UAE or Oman which often mix Asian and European associates, this series exclusively features the three leading European Associate nations. It is distinct from the proposed Euro T20 Slam (a franchise tournament that was postponed indefinitely) and domestic leagues like the T20 Blast. The series serves as a focused regional rivalry and warm-up for European conditions.
