The **Quadrangular Twenty20 Series** is a men's international cricket tournament hosted by Hong Kong. It brings together four Associate nations for a concentrated block of Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Unlike the **Hong Kong Premier League**, which is a domestic club competition without international status, or the **ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup**, reserved for under-23 developmental squads, this event features senior national teams.
The format follows a round-robin structure where each of the four participating sides plays every other team once. The top two teams advance to a final, while the bottom two contest a third-place match. There are no semi-finals in this arrangement. The participating teams vary by edition, selected by the host **Cricket Hong Kong** based on availability and competitive balance. In 2023, the series included Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bahrain, and Kuwait. The 2025 edition shifted to Hong Kong, Nepal, Kuwait, and Qatar.
This standalone invitational event is not part of a domestic pyramid with promotion and relegation. However, the matches carry official T20I status from the International Cricket Council (ICC). The series serves as a key preparation platform for Associate nations to gain T20I experience and ranking points ahead of major ICC qualifiers like the **T20 World Cup Qualifiers** or the **ACC Premier Cup**.
The tournament's origin dates back to 2023, marking the first time Hong Kong hosted a men's quadrangular T20I series. This event also represented their first home T20I matches in five years. A second edition was held in April 2025. The tournament stands apart from local club football or other regional leagues by focusing solely on international cricket development rather than domestic league progression. It provides a structured environment for emerging cricket nations to test themselves against peers in a high-pressure setting. The competition offers a distinct opportunity for teams such as Kuwait and Qatar to strengthen their global standing through regular competition.
