About

The Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy was the premier women's domestic 50-over cricket competition in England and Wales. Launched by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2020, the tournament operated as the top-tier List A event for the country's female cricketers. It ran alongside the Charlotte Edwards Cup, the nation's T20 competition, before concluding after the 2024 season. The ECB replaced it with the Women's One-Day Cup, which shifted back to a county-based structure.

The competition featured eight regional franchise teams established to replace the previous county-based system. These sides included Southern Vipers, Northern Diamonds, Central Sparks, The Blaze, South East Stars, and Sunrisers. The format adapted across its five seasons. The inaugural 2020 season divided teams into North and South groups with a double round-robin. The following two years utilised a single round-robin league. In 2023, the schedule expanded to a double round-robin, and the 2024 edition introduced semi-finals for the top four teams.

Southern Vipers secured the most titles with three victories, winning in 2020, 2021, and 2023. Sunrisers claimed the final edition in 2024. There was no promotion or relegation, as the franchise model remained fixed. The tournament carried the name of Rachael Heyhoe Flint, a former England captain and pioneering figure in women's cricket who passed away in 2017.
