The 2024 United Arab Emirates women's Tri-Nation Series was a one-off international cricket tournament hosted by the Emirates Cricket Board. The event took place in April 2024 at the ICC Academy in Dubai, featuring three teams granted One Day International (ODI) status by the International Cricket Council (ICC): the United States of America Women, Scotland Women, and Papua New Guinea Women. Although the tournament was held in the UAE, the host nation did not participate in the matches.
The competition utilized a simple round-robin format where each side played the others once, creating a total of three games. There were no knockout stages or finals; the winner was decided solely on the points table. This structure provided a straightforward contest without the complexity of elimination rounds. The matches carried significant weight as they marked the ODI debut for the United States Women's national team, offering a new platform for the squad.
Scotland Women won the series, finishing top of the table with two victories. They defeated Papua New Guinea and the USA, securing points that placed them ahead of their rivals. Papua New Guinea Women finished as runners-up with one win against the USA, while the USA Women ended last with no victories. This result stood as the final ranking for the tournament, with no subsequent matches played to alter the order.
The series was distinct from the ICC Women's Challenger Series, which operates as a separate development pathway initiative. No previous editions of this specific tri-series configuration involving these three nations in the UAE had been recorded prior to 2024. The tournament served as an isolated event rather than part of a recurring annual series with a long history. The competition focused on providing competitive matches for the participating nations within the ODI framework.
