Victoria Women T20 Series (United Arab Emirates) 2023/24

The Victoria Women T20 Series is an international women's cricket tournament hosted by the Uganda Cricket Association (UCA). Unlike many regional competitions, it is not an annual fixture but is held irregularly, often serving as a preparation platform for East African teams ahead of ICC qualifiers. The event sits outside the national domestic pyramid, functioning as an international T20I event for associate nations.

The inaugural edition took place in 2019 as a tri-series involving Uganda, Zimbabwe, and one other team. The 2023 edition marked the second official series, held at the Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala from April 18 to 23. That year, five teams competed: Uganda Women, Kenya Women, Tanzania Women, Rwanda Women, and United Arab Emirates Women. The format consisted of a round-robin league stage with no knockout play-offs. The final between the top-placed Uganda and Tanzania was washed out, with Uganda winning the title by topping the league table.

The tournament is distinct from the Kwibuka T20 Tournament, which is organized by the Rwanda Cricket Association. The series is named after Queen Victoria, reflecting the colonial history of the region, though the specific naming authority is not explicitly documented beyond the UCA's hosting role. No men's cricket tournament of the same name exists in Uganda; the men's rivalry with Kenya is known as the Derby Trophy.

Uganda Women also won the 2025 edition, a bilateral series against Canada Women, which they won 5–0. This highlights their consistent performance in regional fixtures. The competition provides a vital platform for associate nations to enhance their skills and gain exposure on the international stage.
