West Indies A in Nepal 2024/25

West Indies A is a developmental cricket squad governed by Cricket West Indies (CWI). The team was established in 1992 and serves as a bridge between regional domestic competitions and the senior national team. Squads are selected by the CWI Senior Men’s Selection Panel from regional teams including Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana, Leeward Islands, and Windward Islands. The squad participates in bilateral tours against other nations' 'A' sides, playing unofficial Test, ODI, and T20 matches to prepare players for senior international duty.

A notable recent event was the West Indies A tour of Nepal in April–May 2024. During this visit, the team played a five-match unofficial T20I series, winning three matches to two. This marked the first time a West Indies team toured Nepal. The senior West Indies team has not yet played in Nepal but faced Nepal in the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe and is scheduled for a bilateral series in September 2025 in the UAE.

In Nepal, the top-tier domestic T20 competition is the Nepal Premier League (NPL), founded in 2024 and organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). The league features eight franchise teams and uses a round-robin group stage followed by playoffs. The current champion is the Lumbini Lions for the 2025 season. Another alternative franchise league is the Nepal Domestic T20 League, which held its inaugural edition in 2022 with six teams in a double round-robin format followed by knockouts. The CAN organizes both leagues.
