Women's T20 Quadrangular Series (in Namibia) (United Arab Emirates) 2023/24

The Capricorn Women's Quadrangular Series is a standalone international cricket tournament organized by Cricket Namibia. It provides high-level competitive experience for Associate Member nations, serving as a preparatory multilateral friendly series rather than an official ICC qualifier for major events like the World Cup. Unlike regional qualifiers restricted to African teams, this event features a mix of teams from different confederations, including African nations and Asian nations. The competition was first held in 2023, with the inaugural edition taking place in Windhoek. The format typically involves a round-robin group stage followed by finals, consisting of a final match and a third-place playoff. All matches are designated as Women's Twenty20 Internationals by the ICC. In the 2023 edition, four teams participated: Namibia Women, Uganda Women, Hong Kong Women, and United Arab Emirates Women. Uganda Women won the title by defeating Namibia by three runs in the final. The tournament was held again in 2026, where Uganda Women defeated Namibia by 17 runs to win the title. In that edition, Tanzania Women replaced the United Arab Emirates side.

The series stands as a unique platform for cross-confederation play within Women's cricket. It allows teams such as Namibia, Uganda, Hong Kong, and the UAE to face each other in a controlled environment. The structure ensures multiple games for each participant through the round-robin phase before the knockout stages determine the champion.

Recent winners

Uganda Women claimed the 2023 championship. They retained the title in 2026 against the same opponent. The competition remains distinct from the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier, which determines berths for the global event. This series focuses on development and preparation for the participating nations.
