Zimbabwe Regional Men Twenty20 Games 2022/23

The Zimbabwe Regional Men Twenty20 Games is a domestic cricket competition established in 2022 by Zimbabwe Cricket. It operates as a secondary-tier tournament, distinct from the primary domestic T20 structure that utilises five professional franchises. This competition relies on traditional regional representative teams rather than commercial entities. Northerns, representing the Harare cricket association, and Southerns, representing the Masvingo cricket association, are the participating sides. The inaugural edition took place in April 2022. Northerns won the three-match series 3–0. The tournament functions as a developmental pathway for players. It focuses on regional identity instead of the franchise model used in the top-tier competition. The competition may be part of a broader Zimbabwe Cricket Regional series that includes First-Class and List A formats. The T20 component has been sporadic. No editions were confirmed for 2023, 2024, or 2025. This suggests the format may have been discontinued or merged back into other regional structures. The primary domestic T20 competition, founded in 2006–07, remains the top tier. This event highlights local associations. It provides a platform for emerging talent outside the main professional circuit. The focus is on regional representation.
