Hasslum HK defeated Yvik 27-22 on Saturday in the First Division women's handball. The away side moved clear at the top of the table with two wins from two games, while the hosts remain in eighth place after a win and a draw from their opening fixtures. To be fair, the result was never in much doubt. Hasslum had already beaten Yvik back in August, winning 31-27 in what looked like a different proposition entirely. This time they controlled the tempo from the start and never really let the home side get within touching distance.

We had called for the away victory in our preview, and it came through as expected. Hasslum are the deeper squad on paper, and they showed it by managing the game without panic, even when the scoreline began to look comfortable.
