Lisandro Magallán

Lisandro Magallán's career has been defined by movement. After coming through at Gimnasia La Plata, he joined Boca Juniors in 2012 and, following loan spells at Rosario Central and Defensa y Justicia, winning three Argentine league titles and a Copa Argentina. That form earned him a move to AFC Ajax in January 2019, but his time in Amsterdam was defined less by appearances for the Dutch club than by the string of loans that followed it: Deportivo Alavés, FC Crotone and R.S.C. Anderlecht each took him in turn, even as he collected an Eredivisie title, a KNVB Cup and a Johan Cruyff Shield with Ajax itself.

His contract with Ajax was terminated in January 2023, and he signed for Elche CF as a free agent. Within months he had moved again, this time to UNAM Pumas in Mexico, where accounts differ on whether the transfer carried a small fee or was completed on a free following his Elche release. He stayed with Pumas for two seasons before returning to Argentina in 2025, signing for Vélez Sarsfield until June 2027.

At international level, Magallán represented Argentina's under-20 side at the 2013 South American U-20 Championship and earned a single cap for the under-23s in 2016.
