Tomás Ezequiel Galván

Galván came up through River Plate's academy, having joined the club at the age of six, and made his senior debut against Boca Juniors in May 2021. That first taste of the first team was brief: eight appearances that year without a goal, and River sent him out on loan for four consecutive seasons.

Each loan told a different story. At Defensa y Justicia he played 32 times but scored just twice. At Colón, in 2023, he found his best form in front of goal, scoring seven times in 29 appearances. A season at Tigre brought regular football, 37 matches, though only two goals, both in the league. His final loan, at Vélez Sarsfield in 2025, produced silverware: the Supercopa Internacional and the Supercopa Argentina, alongside 27 appearances and four goals, one of them in the Copa Libertadores.

He returned to River Plate and finally established himself in the first team. The medals from his own spell at the club came earlier, in 2021, when River won the Primera División and the Trofeo de Campeones.

His only representative football at senior international level remains absent from his record, but he has a well-documented youth pedigree: he played at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, scoring once in three matches, and was called up to the Argentina U-20 squad in 2016 for South American qualifiers. He also featured for River Plate's under-20 side in the Copa Libertadores Sub-20, scoring once in five appearances.
