Prizren's basketball club dates back to the years just after the Second World War. Orange and black have stayed the club's colours ever since.
That breakthrough came in 2017–18, when Bashkimi won the Kosovo Superleague for the only time in its history. The club has come close on other occasions without repeating it, finishing runner-up in the league in 2008–09, 2016–17 and again in 2024–25. The team has more often ended up on the losing side of cup finals, including as recently as 2024–25 and 2025–26.
Home games are played at the Sezai Surroi Arena in Prizren.
