The fixture that matters in Buk is the one against AL-KO AZS Poznań — the Derby w Buku.
Bukowsko-Dopiewski KPR came together in 2019, when two youth setups in the area, Bukovia Buk and Panter Dopiewo, merged into a single club rather than keep competing for the same pool of local girls. The red-and-white colours date from that merger.
The senior honours board is thin, but the youth results carry the club's reputation. In 2026 the junior girls' side beat UKPR Agrykola Warszawa 26:25 to take the national indoor title. Before that, the beach handball section had already produced a national junior title in 2020 against MKS Ochota Warszawa, and a runner-up finish the following year, lost to MUKS Skałka-Śląsk Świętochłowice on shootouts.
Home matches are played in front of 350 seats at the OSiR hall in Buk. There is no club website; anyone chasing information gets an email address and a phone number.
It is still, at bottom, the same idea that started it in 2019: two junior sides in neighbouring towns deciding they were stronger combined than apart.
