Bülach

Nothing formal ever came of it, and no arrangement with Kloten or Dübendorf, the other clubs within easy reach, has hardened into a fixture either. What the club has instead is a name earned honestly: the women who wore Bülach colours from 1986 won the Swiss Championship in 1992.

The men have never reached that height. Promotion has carried them as far as the third tier, the MyHockey League, where they have played since 2017, and their nearest brush with something bigger came in 2011/12, when they lost the 1. Liga East final to EHC Winterthur. Individual careers have travelled further than the club itself: Felix Hollenstein left Bülach to win four national titles with Kloten and earned 131 caps for Switzerland, while Reto Berra went from the youth ranks here into the NHL. For two seasons in the mid-2010s the roster also carried Florence Schelling, four times an Olympic medallist in goal for the Swiss women's team, who played men's NLB hockey for Bülach and was the first woman to do so in that league.

The club has been based at the Sportzentrum Hirslen since 1942, sharing the ice with the figure skaters of BEC. In September 2026, a hailstorm tore the roof off the rink, and the repair bill came to 120,000 francs, covered with emergency help from the city of Bülach and Swiss Ice Hockey.
