Chicken Inn

Bakers Inn, a bakery chain in Bulawayo, put a team together in 1997 so its own employees would have somewhere to play. In 2008 a new sponsor, the fast-food chain Chicken Inn, took over, and the club became Chicken Inn FC. Promotion to the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League followed in 2011, and the club plays out of Luveve Stadium, which holds 8,000.

The first league title came in 2015. A year earlier they had already put a trophy in the cabinet, beating CAPS United 3–0 to take the NetOne Charity Shield, and in 2016 they went through Highlanders in the final of the Zimbabwean Independence Trophy, Obadiah Tarumbwa and Mitchel Katsvairo scoring the goals in a 2–1 win. That fixture against Highlanders, known in Bulawayo as Bosso, is the Bulawayo Derby.
