Limkokwing University

A university does not usually go looking for a football club, but Limkokwing University of Creative Technology bought one: in 2015 it took over the franchise of Nyenye Rovers, a side relegated out of the Premier League that year and then dissolved. The new owners registered under the university's name, and RSSSF lists 2017 as the club's founding year, the point at which the identity took hold in the records rather than the year the deal was struck.

LUFC spent its early seasons rebuilding from the second tier. It won the A-Division Northern Stream in the 2022/23 campaign, then beat ACE Maseru 2-0 in the Nedbank Champ of Champs final to take the overall second-tier title and go up to the Premier League. Thabiso Sesiu scored in that final; ACE Maseru remains the club's sharpest rival from it.

Ntlaloe Ntlaloe was the coach who took the team up. Since promotion, the forward Lemohang Lintša, a regular for the Lesotho national team, has carried the attack, finishing the 2023/24 season as club Player of the Year.

Home games are played at Ratjomose Stadium in Maseru, a ground shared with Lesotho's paramilitary force. It holds 1,000.
