The tensile roof at Fiera Milano Rho was never meant to house a hockey club for long. The Milano Ice Fiera Arena, built inside the exhibition grounds, seats around 4,000, and a permanent rink is planned for the end of the decade, but for now the exhibition halls are what Milan has to offer top-tier hockey.
What plays there is not a continuation but a restart. The city had fielded champions under the HC Milano name for decades, then under HC Devils Milano, then under HC Milano Vipers. This iteration was put together for admission to the ICE Hockey League for the 2026/27 season by the cryptocurrency company House of Doge and by South Tyrolean businessman Christof Leitner.
There was no attempt to revive an old nickname. No devils, no vipers — just Rossoblu, worn now alongside gold.
The league has already handed it a rivalry to grow into.
