Ratchaburi

The season that mattered most for Ratchaburi FC came in 2012, when the club won the Division 1 title and went up to the top flight after clawing its way through the pyramid in a single stretch — Regional League Division 2 Central-East honours and promotion the year before, then the Division 1 crown itself. Four years later came the Thai FA Cup, shared with Chainat Hornbill, Chonburi and Sukhothai after the 2016 season was cut short by the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej — a title none of the four could celebrate in the usual way.

The Dragons, as they're known, moved into Dragon Solar Park in 2016, leaving behind the Ratchaburi Provincial Stadium they had used since 2007. Orange and white remain the colours carried from that earlier ground.

Up front, Brazilian forwards did the heaviest lifting: Heberty scored 65 goals in 90 appearances, while Derley added 24 in 67. At the back, Pawee Tanthatemee came through the academy and stayed long enough to become a fixture of the side.

Continental football arrived late — a first AFC Champions League qualification in 2021 — but the club pushed further in 2025–26, reaching the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Two before Gamba Osaka ended the run. Regionally, the sharper needle is closer to home, in matches against Kanchanaburi and Suphanburi that carry the label of a Central Thailand derby.

None of it traces back to a grand foundation story. Ratchaburi FC started in 2004 as a provincial side, spent time under the Mitr Phol Group's sponsorship from 2012, and reverted to its original name once that backing ended in 2022.
