Ravensburg

Every visit from ESV Kaufbeuren carries the weight of the Oberschwaben-Allgäu derby. The Towerstars only became the Towerstars in 2010, three years after the professional side had already been rebranded EVR Tower Stars following promotion to the second Bundesliga; before that it was simply the hockey department of a sports club founded in Ravensburg in November 1881, one that dropped the game entirely for a stretch after the section's 1932 start and did not pick it back up until 1948.

Robbie Czarnik wears the captaincy and holds the club's scoring record. Ben Thomson and Stephan Vogt never suited up again after Ravensburg retired their numbers, 29 and 55.

All three of its second Bundesliga, now DEL2, titles came in seasons ending 2011, 2019 and 2023, each one a championship of the division just below Germany's elite, alongside two Oberliga crowns from 1967 and 2007. The club plays out of the Eissporthalle Ravensburg, now known as the CHG Arena, in blue and white.
