The Ledovy Dvorets Sokol holds 1,800 people. On Zhanna Krutova Street in Novocheboksarsk, it is the only ice the team has ever needed.

The name goes back to 1975, when a side called Yunost was renamed Sokol in honour of the call sign used by cosmonaut Andrian Nikolayev. That senior team won the Chuvash ASSR championship in 1983 and again in 1984, then carried on for decades before folding in 2016 when funding ran out. In 2020, the sports school known as SShOR No. 4 rebuilt the club from its youth ranks.

What Sokol has now is a development side, and its results read that way: quarter-final and semi-final finishes in the league itself, alongside outright wins at the Granit Cup in 2025 and the Alga Cup in 2022 and 2026.
