Todesfelde/Leezen Women

Home fixtures in Leezen come with two names on the away shirt that matter more than the rest: HT Norderstedt and SV Henstedt-Ulzburg, both close enough to be considered local derbies rather than ordinary league dates.

The handball side traces back to 1974, when SV Todesfelde set up the department within a club founded in 1928. The team played as SG Todesfelde/Leezen, a joint venture with Leezener SC built to keep the youth pipeline and the senior squad both viable. That arrangement ended for the senior women in 2025, when the team reverted to the SV Todesfelde name; the youth cooperation kept going regardless.

The results since have not slowed down. Regionalliga Nord champions in 2025, then straight up again as 3. Liga Nord champions in 2026, a promotion that puts the club in the 2. Bundesliga. Before that, the Oberliga Schleswig-Holstein title in 2022 and the Schleswig-Holstein Cup in 2024, the latter earning a place in the DHB-Pokal, where Todesfelde reached the first round in 2024/25.

Franziska Haupt, capped for Germany on the left wing, is the name supporters point to; Henning Ammen has run the bench through the recent climb up the divisions.
